Tool 1 · House quote

Quote a house from its rooms, not a guess.

Count the rooms, pick the type of clean and how often, tick the extras. The time comes from a minutes-per-room list you can check against your own jobs, and the price from your own hourly rate.

Is a monthly discount fair? Recurring checks it against the extra time a monthly visit takes.

How the quote is worked out

    Time

minutes = (15 setup + room minutes) × type of clean × condition + extras

Room minutes per cleaner: bedroom 20, full bath 30, half bath 15, kitchen 40, living room 20, dining 12, office 15, laundry 10, each floor of halls and stairs 10.

    Price

price = hours × your rate + hours × supplies + miles × cost per mile, − discount, at least your minimum, rounded up

The discount comes off the whole price, so it comes straight out of your hourly rate. The check rows show by how much.

    Use your own times

These minutes are the defaults from the Cleaning Quote Calculator workbook. Time your next few cleans room by room. As one cleaner put it: use your real average job time, not how fast you wish you were.
